Easter 2013

I hope everyone had a great Easter! A few days before Easter we dyed eggs. I was worried about Abigail getting dye on her clothes so I took off her shirt and put one of my aprons on her. I should have taken a picture because it looked more like a dress on her.

We decided to put some candy in plastic eggs for Abigail to find. She caught on real quickly and decided to put them all by her cougar (she loves the cougar!).

Darl's parents sent the kids Easter gifts. Abigail was really excited to open her bunny basket to find candy inside.

Here she is going to town on the M&Ms. Not sure if I'm handing them to her or trying to stop her:

We opened a couple plastic eggs and let her eat the candy. Then while she ate breakfast I took all the candy out so she could just play with the plastic eggs. She was determined to find candy, even after I took it out:

After church (where we were able to focus on why we really have Easter;)) we had a great dinner! My sister found a crockpot ham recipe and it was super! Ethan even smiled for a picture during dinner:

Darl made this fabulous carrot cake for dessert. Seriously so good! I want to go eat the rest right now...

My friend, Amanda, came up from Virginia for Easter dinner. We hadn't see each other in a long time and it was super to have her. Abigail enjoyed bringing her lots of books to read after dinner.
