Service 5k and The Zoo

On Saturday our church Stake participated in an Interfaith state wide service day. It was a 5k run, 3k family fun walk and an auction. Darl participated in the 5k and I made a dessert for the auction. It was about 30 minutes away on a large farm. It was a beautiful day and fun morning!

Darl after the race:

Her reaction when I told her to smile:

In October Baltimore has "Baltimore Fall Free Days". Today the Baltimore Zoo (normally $16.50 for adults) was free! We had never been so we met up with some friends and had a fun morning.

The tram came as I took this picture so Abigail was distracted:

We saw elephants, gorillas, zebras, giraffes...and Abigail was most excited about the chickens:) She also really liked the cheetah as well. (She really likes cats...)

It was a fun day at the zoo and fun to be with friends! The zoo was small enough we were able to do it all in just a couple of hours. Yeah for free days:)

  1. Jane, why didn't you race too? ;) Love free days at the zoo- your girl is adorable and she looks so grown up! I feel like Tyler is a baby but then I see Abigail (maybe it's all the hair?) and I think how grown up they are!
