This past weekend we were able to go to Utah to visit some of Darl's family, and of course attend a BYU football game. Although always too short, it was a lot of fun!! Like most of my pictures of late, these are all from my phone because its in my pocket and easily accessible:)
Flying with a 17month old had us both a little scared. Luckily on both flights they had an empty row we got to sit in. Not only nice for our long legs but super nice for Abigail. She also loved looking out the window:
Darl's parents picked us up from the airport and we went to a Cabin near Mirror Lake past Park City and Kamas. It was a super nice cabin and a fun getaway.
Darl and his mom share a love of fishing!! They went for a few hours one day and caught 7 fish!
Abigail LOVED Grandma and Grandpa Flake!
Thanks to Jenny for the cute sweatshirt:
You can't see them, but in the distance across the lake they are fishing:
If only we could all be carried around like this:
We left the cabin Saturday morning and went back to Hobble Creek Canyon. Darl and I then headed to Provo to meet up with some friends for lunch. Did I remember to take a picture? No. Bummer!! (Still fun to see you Meghan, Jim, Ka, and Clint.)
After lunch we went to the game. It was SO HOT!! Luckily Darl's Dad let us use his faculty seats so not only did we have chairs with backs, but by the second half we were shaded by the press box. Thank goodness. And thanks to the nice student employees who let the pregnant woman take the elevator up to her seat and use the bathroom in the press box:)
Darl took Abigail on the four wheeler his parents own. We weren't sure what she would think or if the noise would scare her, but as you can see, she's clapping. They weren't gone for very long but Darl said she liked it!
Benefits of living up a mountain.
Not sure why the light is so funny in this picture. On our last night Darl's parents took us to a Cajun restaurant. It was good and had a fun atmosphere!! This is a great shot of what Abigail's hair looks like at the end of the day. Mostly out of her ponytail.
Cute kid:
Abigail is not one to just fall asleep anywhere. She is too social for that. Toward the end of the 4.5hour flight home she finally fell asleep for about 30mins. (She didn't sleep on the flight over even though we left at 6:30pm).
Successfully exhausting trip. We had a great time!!!
I think Darl has a few more pictures I'll post later.
Cute pictures, Jane! It looks like you had tons off fun in Utah. Abigail is so cute! Sorry I missed your call this morning--let's talk soon! Carson's asleep or else I would call you right now--I don't want to wake him...
