Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a super Christmas! We stayed in Maryland, and although it would have been great to be with lots of family in Minnesota or Utah we really had a good time.

On Christmas Eve we went to Virginia for a great dinner with Darl's sister Emily and her family. They took a family picture for us:

Christmas Day, playing with her new toys after Church:

Darl with his stocking stash. Santa really loves Darl and gave him coupons for McDonald's. (Darl LOVES McDonald's.)

I like how Abigail seems more in awe of the ribbon than the new board book.

I don't think she even knows what we put on her head.

Due to her age I wasn't expecting too much of a reaction out of Abigail. However, we bought this used toy at a big consignment sale and she really likes it. It plays loud Dora the Explorer music and Abigail gets really happy about it.

She didn't like the real Santa, but can handle the stuffed one her size.

Abigail had a lot of fun on Christmas Day. Can't you tell from her glazed look and crazy hair? (We took this picture close to her bedtime.)

A few weeks before Christmas I hosted a cookie exchange and made these chocolate mint cookies. Yum.
